Lanxess appoints Connell as agent

The rubber-chemicals business unit of the chemical group Lanxess has entered a new stage of distribution with the appointment of Connell Brothers as its agent and distributor for Southeast Asia.

Starting January 1, the company will be responsible for the distribution of Lanxess rubber chemicals in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Global demand for rubber chemicals is increasing, especially in the Asia-Pacific, which accounts for more than 40 per cent of the world's rubber-chemicals market.

In addition to China and India, Southeast Asia is also a major emerging market on the continent.

This growth also means an increasing need to establish supply units close to customers' operations.

This new partnership with Connell Brothers will further expand the global supply network of rubber chemicals from Lanxess.
