
Siriwat said Chart Thai Party leader Banharn Silapa-archa would go to Phichit next Tuesday to help them campaign in the run-up to the election.
People Power Party's Phichit candidate Nawin Bunseat, the arch rival of Siriwat called on Phichit Provincial Election Commission to check allegations of vote buying. He said reports were rife that some canvassers from a party gathered a list of voters to offer them Bt500-Bt1,000 each in return for their votes.
Nawin is the son of Adul Bunseat, who cannot contest in this election because he is among 111 Thai Rak Thai Party executives who have been banned from politics.
Meanwhile People Power Party leader Samak Sundaravej will go to Phichit on Friday to help the party's Phichit candidate Sunee Luangwichit campaign.
