The flyweight Somjit came a step closer to retaining his title for the fifth time after taming Indonesia's Bonyk Yusak Saweho 24-4. He will take on Vietnam's Nguyen Trang Dat, who enjoyed a quarter-final bye.  There was no surprise in the featherweight division as Sailom had an easy 25-13 win over Indonesian Arenaldo Urias Moniaga.

Sailom takes on Malaysia's Kalai Eddy, who trounced Laos' Moneboudsady Khounthavisak 26-4 in the quarter-final.

The Kingdom's medal prospect lightweight Pichai Sayata meets Khanxay Udone of Laos, welterweight Non Boonjamnong faces Wilfredo Lopez of the Philippines and Angkarn Chompoopuang takes on Zulkarnain Mustafa of Malaysia in the light heavyweight division.
