Conwood clinches deal to sell products throughout Vietnam

Bangkok-based Conwood Thailand, a subsidiary of the Nakhon Luang cement group, will work with Ho Chi Minh City-based Vinh Cuu, one of the leading building-material companies in Vietnam, to distribute its products through 400 agencies across the country.

Established in late 2002 with registered capital of US$5.6 million (Bt190 million), Conwood is the producer of wood-replacement materials used for construction and house decor using green technology from Sweden.

The further investment of $8.4 million to the company's capital in 2004 helped Conwood double its production capacity from 1.5 million square metres in 2003 to 3 million in 2005.
