It says the display is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia.

Managing director Thanaruch Hongskule said the Bt28-million LED Truck Display would be first used during celebrations of His Majesty the King's 80th birthday tomorrow. It will be located in the front of the United Nations building on Rajdamnoen Avenue.

Established 13 years ago, the Media Vision Group - a subsidiary of the Index Event Agency - operates a wide range of multimedia rental services.

"The LED Truck Display will be suitable for any kind of outdoor events, especially by firms in the automobile industry that need to conduct roadshows nationwide for launching new models," said Thanaruch.

He said the truck-top LED screen - 4.5 metres high by 3.13 metres wide - was hydraulically driven from inside and that the six-wheel truck carrying it could move easily from place to place.

"This means renters can save both on installation costs and time," said Thanaruch.

The company expects the LED Truck Display innovation to break even within two years. A second display is scheduled to enter service next March.

Thanaruch said outdoor events would become more important in the near future. Apart from the launch of new vehicle models, the LED Display Truck can be used for a wide range of other product launches, as well as outdoor exhibitions and concerts.

About 30 per cent of the company's main clients come via other Index Event Agency subsidiaries. The rest are event organisers.

"The company expects its billings this year to reach Bt208 million, with total assets of Bt350 million," he said.
