Ticking in Thailand

Last Tuesday, Seiko celebrated the unveiling of Seiko (Thailand), a new joint venture company that replaces the 40 year-old Muang Thong Seiko.

Shinji Hattori, president of Japan's Seiko Watch Corporation, and Purij Mahadamrongkul, managing director of Seiko (Thailand), said this strategic move was to ensure the brand's prosperity in Asia.

Attending the event at The Dome, State Tower, were distinguished guests Lord Chamberlain Kaew-kwan and Thanpuying Pensri Vajarodaya, and notable figures of the Thai high society, who checked out the timepieces like the Grand Seiko and Spring Drive, which have been specially selected to go on sale in Thailand.

Guests were also treated to a delicious Japanese dinner, and a show of Japanese fireworks.
