A committee source said it had recommended the department seize the assets after Panthongtae and Pinthongta Shinawatra failed to lay the surety to guarantee their tax payments.
The AEC had previously estimated the two were subject to a Bt12 billion tax liability.
A Revenue Department source who asked not to be named said Panthongtae had Bt114 million in unfrozen assets, including Bt9.6 million in nine bank accounts.
He also had Bt101 million in shares in companies and a Bt3 million plot of land in Bang Phlat.
Meanwhile, Pinthongta had Bt921 million in assets including Bt5 million in bank accounts. She also had Bt822 million in shares in SC Asset as well as Bt92 million in land in the Din Daeng and Huay Kwang districts of Bangkok and Pathum Thani.
Revenue Department director-general Sanit Rangnoi said the department was verifying the report and had requested information from banks and monetary institutions about the assets belonging to Panthongtae and Pinthongta.
