The trio of Jakkrit Panichpatikum, Noppadon Sutiviruch and Saramon Jareangchit fired an aggregate 1,654 points to win the event.

Jakkrit said he was determined to win the gold to celebrate his mother's 59th birthday in style.

"It feels great to win the first gold for the Kingdom. I was nervous because Saramon was yet to take part in a major competition before. Fortunately, Noppadon and I shot well today," Jakkrit said.

"I'm happy that I fulfilled my dream of presenting my mom the gold on her birthday," he said.
