Chuwit quits Chart Thai
Chart Thai Party deputy leader Chuwit Kamolvisit said he decided to quit from the party because he could not accept party leader Banharn Silapa-archa's lack of political commitment.
Chuwit quoted Banharn as saying that the Chart Thai Party will be condemned and will be eating crumbs from a rich man's table if it supports the People Power Party. He will never hurt the man he has respected for 30 years.
Chuwit said Banharn made these statements at the Thai-Japanese Youth Centre on November 7.
However Banharn changed his stance over the past two weeks saying his political commitment with the Democrats was over after the Royal Decree for the general election had been published in the Royal Gazette.
