Bhichit supports Abhisit as PM
In a surprise move, former Bangkok governor Bhichit Rattakul, the city's MP candidate for the Ruam Jai Thai Chart Pattana Party, says if he is elected he will vote for Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva to become the next Prime Minister.
Bhichit said since he was a former Democrat he knew the party well and strongly trusted it to run the country.
The former Bangkok governor said the decision was his personal desire, not the Ruam Jai Thai Chart Pattana Party's resolution. He is ready to answer to the party if it wants to question his motive.
He said that Ruam Jai Thai Chart Pattana would not be the largest party anyway.
