The BMA has received confirmation of parti-cipation from two Euro-pean cities - Milan, which will loan drawings by Leonardo Da Vinci, and Liverpool, which will offer items from its Beatles museum, he said.
Once the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre is officially opened in February, Beijing has promised to send some ancient clay works for display in Bangkok, along with an acrobatic troupe.
The Japanese city of Fukuoka has promised ancient and historic items, too.
The centre's soft opening will be on Friday.
The 11-storey Bangkok Art and Culture Centre is located near the Pathum Wan intersection.
It will be run by a foundation with an eight member appointed committee and a 12-member elected committee. It will have an annual budget of Bt20 million.
