Parc Paragon hosted the event, which featured several activities styled to please the more than 5,000 attending teenagers, who arrived determined to live up to the magazine's slogan "It's fun to be 17!"
The Parc Paragon was dressed up with an American Sweetheart theme to remind everyone of the magazine's country of origin. The hospitality was US-style too, with food and refreshments as well as gifts and games on offer.
The party kicked off with a concert from famous singing duo Golf and Mike, which was followed by the announcement of the winners of the 2007 Teen Choice awards. Seventeen readers had voted to determine the winners of the awards.
The award for group artist went to Golf and Mike, while the male and female artist awards was bagged by Saksit "Tor" Vejsupaporn and Saranrach "Lydia" Visuthithada, whose albums are currently on chart toppers. Chinawut "Chin" Indacusin won the rising star award, while boy band Nice to Meet You won the equivalent honour for a group.
Thrisadee "Por" Sahawong and Kemanit "Pancake" Jamikorn won the best actor and best actress awards while Sunny Suwanmethanont and Paula Taylor were named "hottie male" and "hottie female" of the year. Phiyada "Aom" Akkaraseranee, for the warm home life she balances with a successful career, was given the Icon of the Year.
One other significant event marked with a fanfare at the party was the launch of SeventeenThailand.com, an interactive website for young women.
Then, for the highlight of the party, DJ Pek Premmanat and DJ Bo Thanakorn introduced the candidates competing for Thailand's fifth Seventeen ambassador.
The winner was 21-year-old Ranchita Promprasith who succeeded in meeting the requirements for the post, which include confidence, courage, expressiveness and creativity. She takes home Bt500,000-worth of prizes. Judges were familiar faces Sririta Jenzen, Pavarisa Phenjati and Ball Assanai.
The party wrapped up in style with a trendy fashion show by top models like Pat Napapa, Tangmoh Patarathida, Grace Kanklao and Guy G-Junior.
