Celebrating Loy Krathong

Enjoy Loy Krathong with a northeastern flavour at the Ambassador Hotel this evening.

Prices are Bt650 (Bt350 for children), and include a buffet dinner with Thai food from all four regions plus an Isaan pong lang folk dance and performance. The hotel is on Sukhumvit Soi 11, a short walk from Nana BTS station.

A five-hour cruise on the Chao Phya tonight costs Bt3,900 (Bt2,000 for children). The package is organised by Grand Pearl Cruise, and includes refreshment, international buffet, Lanna cultural shows, traditional ramwong dancing and a krathong. The cruise leaves River Side Hotel's pier at 8pm, and follows the Chao Phya's flow southwards to Krungthep Bridge before returning to the pier around midnight. Expect spectacular night views of the Grand Palace, Temple of Dawn and King Rama VIII Bridge.

Waen Kaew Cruise offers a buffet dinner plus snacks and cocktails on a spectacular cruise on Loy Krathong Night. The price is Bt2,200 (Bt1,200 for children). The renovated rice barge leaves the Riverside Hotel's pier tonight at 10 and travels south. The boat returns to the pier at 1am.

Chao Phya Cruise presents two cruises for Loy Krathong, one from 6 to 8pm for Bt3,300 (Bt2,800 for children), and another from 9 to 11.30pm for Bt3,800 (Bt3,300 for children). Includes an international buffet, drinks and a cultural performance. The cruise embarks from and returns to the Riverside Hotel's pier.

Riverside 3 Cruise leaves the Riverside Hotel's pier (near Thonburi Bridge) at 8 tonight, and sails on the Chao Phya until 11pm. A no-frills ticket costs Bt120 (Bt90 for children). Food and beverages are available for an additional fee.

The Siam River Cruise on a renovated rice barge, leaves Si Phraya pier (near Shangri-La Hotel) tonight at 7 for a Loy Krathong dinner and spectacular views of the river and fireworks. The price is Bt2,400 per person, and includes dinner and refreshment plus a lovely portion of banana-leave krathong to complete the beautiful night.

Embrace a retro-style Loy Krathong Festival tonight at the Royal Navy Convention Centre, on the west bank of Chao Phya opposite the Grand Palace. An auspicious night of celebration (6.30 to 9.30) will be arranged for 999 guests. Enjoy food and drink, soak up the early-Rattanakosin-period atmosphere and admire the  river illuminated against the backdrop of the Grand Palace.
