The firework festival will be held from December 4 to 8 at 9pm every night she said.
Fireworks on the first night will be launched from the Royal Turf Club (or Nang Lerng Race Course). On December 5, a magnificent display will be on view above the Chao Phya River near the Rama 9 Bridge while another display will light up the sky above the Royal Bangkok Sports Club on Henry Dunant Road on December 6.
A spectacular show will be featured on December 7 at Mae Pim beachfront in Rayong province and on December 8, above Bangkok's Benchakiti Park and the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.
On December 5, HM the King's birthday, besides the fireworks over the Chao Phya River, there will also be fireworks in other provinces including Nonthaburi, Udon Thani and Uthai Thani. These nation-wide celebrations will be broadcast on Television Channel 11, Dhipavadee said.
General Montri Supaporn, who chairs the subcommittee organising the festival, said each fireworks display will be different, but they will all express loyalty to HM the King and also the participating countries' good relations with Thailand.
Nearby roads will be blocked to accommodate people coming out to admire the fireworks, he said, adding the public would be able to see the show from about 1 to 1.5 kilometres from any of the event venues.
