Candidates for Bangkok MPs pledge fair campaigning

A group of 70 election candidates for Bangkok constituencies pledged on Wednesday to abide fair campaigning rules and refrain from underhanded tactics.

The pledging ceremony was organised by the office of the Bangkok Election Commission.

All major parties, including the Democrats, the People Power and the Matchima Thipataya, were represented at the ceremony.

About 387 candidates from 17 parties are in the race for 36 House seats up for grabs in the capital's 12 constituencies.
