Senior Swat (Special Weapons And Tactics) officers said the accident was caused by a sudden gush of wind that swung the Bell 212 helicopter around. Three officers fast-roping from the other side of the helicopter were able to hold on to their rope and land safely.
The officers said the injuries involved broken bones but none were life-threatening. They would not affect the 285-strong Swat team's operation during the biannual regional sports event.
