A hospital worker killed and another injured in Yala attack

Yala - Gunmen shot dead one hospital worker and wounded another as they were heading for work at the Yala Hospital, police said.

Nimitchai Inchin, 43, suffered a gunshot wound in his shoulder blade. He died on his way to the hospital.

Rungruedee Morlek, 33, went into coma.

Police said Nimitchai was also a member of the village defence volunteer in Tambon Lamphaya in Yala district.

Insurgents in the restive region often attack and murder village defence volunteers.
