Danai gets to last eight

[tennis] The in-form Danai Udomchoke moved into the quarter-finals of the US$50,000 Taiwan Challenger in Kaohsiung following a 7-6 (7-3) 6-1 victory over Austrian Andreas Haider-Maurer yesterday.

Danai, who helped Thailand reach the Asian Hopman Cup final last week, has won five consecutive matches, including the first-round tie against German Sebastian Rieschik on Tuesday.

He will play the winner of the match between fourth-seeded Rik de Voest of South Africa and Farrukh Dustov of Uzbekistan in the quarter-final.
