The Chart Thai party yesterday unveiled its economic team for the upcoming election led by MR Pridiyathorn Devakula and former finance minister Suchart Jaovisidha.

Party leader Banharn Silapa-archa said Suchart would take charge of the party's finance policy, while Pridiyathorn would be an economic adviser on special issues. However, Pridiyathorn was not yet a member of the party.
Party deputy leader Korn Dabbaransi would supervise industrial and energy policies, Banharn said.
Suchart said he was courted by many other parties, but he opted for Chart Thai because he was impressed with Banharn's policies. He said the Chart Thai leader dared to make decisions, which was an important quality for a leader.
