"Good DJs shouldn't speak too much during the program since the audience wants to listen to music - not speeches," says Warinda, "DJ Dada", Damrongphol. "Our job is to make the program flow smoothly and not let the audience feel that we're interrupting their listening to the songs."

A good DJ tries not to use too much slang so teens won't use similar language, the 26-year-old Dada from 94 EFM adds.

"DJ Man" Atthachat Sriphakdee from 98.5 Breeze FM says it's important for DJs to get rid of any negative thoughts or feelings before going on the air. "No matter how sad you might be feeling, you must adjust you emotions and be upbeat when you're behind the microphone," DJ Man, 29, says. "Who wants to listen to a DJ who sounds sad? You must run your program with energy and a clear voice."

Concentration is a key to success, according to Tanadon "DJ Knes" Ninnopparat from 91.5 Hot Wave. "You must always think before you speak," he says. "Radio shows are broadcast live. And if you give your listeners incorrect information, your reputation is at stake."

DJs should avoid controversial topics, DJ Knes says. "Avoid talking about religion and politics since both are delicate subjects," he says. "Also, DJs can't expresses any biases or he'll offend a lose a segment of his audience."
