Abhisit: no deal to boycott PPP

Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva denied reports that deputy Prime Minister Sonthi Boonyaratglin called a meeting of party leaders to isolate People Power Party.

Abhisit said his party has not been contacted to attend such a meeting adding that the election race will be carried out fairly. He said Sonthi should be politically neutral and cannot interfere in such a way that would create drawbacks to any party.

"It is just a rumour that has no grounds. It is ususal to have lots of reports circulating in the run-up to the election. People must use judgement what is true and not true,'' he said.
