After being questioned by police, Vittaya Jaikhan said he did not kill Rattiya Phoomisuk at Sena Niwet Housing Estate 1 project, and Bantherng Jaroonphan, who worked at a company in Soi Lat Phrao 87.
Phahol Yothin police are also investigating four similar incidents in their jurisdiction, including an attack on a guard working near Soi Lat Phrao 1 three months ago. Vittaya said he had nothing to do with this particular case.
Lt-Colonel Jakkrit Jan-hom, a Khoke Khram police officer in charge of the case, said a psychological test was not immediately needed to judge Vittaya's state of mind because he had not shown signs of mental problems during questioning.
Khoke Khram police have Vittaya in custody as they have prime jurisdiction over the murder of Jakkrapol Maomeechant, which was recorded by security cameras. The officer said he would soon interview Vittaya's mother about her son's possible history of mental problems.
In a press interview, Vittaya said he felt remorse for the murders he committed and would be ordained as a monk to atone for his crimes after he served his prison term.
