Retail oil prices up 30 satang

Oil retailers will raise all product prices on Wednesday by 30 satang per litre, due to the persistently high global oil prices.

The increase will occur though the Oil Fund would reduce the contribution from biodiesel and diesel oil sales by 20 satang per litre, effective on November 15. On May 5, it reduced the contributions from all oil products except octane-95 petrol by 40 satang per litre.

Chaiwat Chooritti, senior executive vice president of PTT, said that due to the Oil Fund's decision, retailers agreed to raise retail oil prices by only 30 satang per litre.

After the increase, octane-95 petrol would be Bt31.99 per litre while diesel would be Bt28.94.
