DASTA continues developing 11 communities

The Designed Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), a public organization, is continue developing 11 communities as part of sustainable development scheme.



Chairman Thongchai Panswad, said the organization has been trialing 11 communities nation wide as pilot projects to enhance sustainable tourism.

The communities are Mae KumPong in Chiang Mai, Baan Pang in

Mahasarakham, Bangchaocha in Ang Thong, Leeled in Surath Thani, Hauy Kilek in Chiang Rai, Nong Maena in Petchaboon, Samcok in Suphanburi, Koe Klang in Krabi, Thadan in Nakornnayok, Pha Toh in Chumporn and Yao Noi Island in Pang Nga province.

He said the body, which set two years ago, has been working in three main areas covering tourism unity and integrated management, building tourist places and services and enhance tourism competitiveness.
