The three-day event, which kicked off yesterday, is taking place at the War Dog Battalion, a military camp in Pak Chong, until tomorrow. It brings together colourful demonstrations of hot-air balloons in the sky, a parade, outdoor activities and fireworks. The gastronome should take a side-trip, to PB Valley (KhaoYaiWinery.com, (036) 226 415 or 416), where the local vineyard will lift up the weekend spirit with gastronomic scene and wine tasting.
