"This is a twohorse race for leadership - vote Democrats if you want Abhisit or support PPP if you want Samak," Thepthai Senpong said.
Thepthai said campaigning activities were already in full swing across the country. The Democrats have fanned out to promote the people's agendas while Samak is avoiding to debate with Abhisit, he said.
"Judging from Samak's reluctance to reveal his stand, it is clear that the control of the party is under an individual abroad," he said in reference to former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra living in London exile.
He warned voters that political chaos might resume if the PPP can claim victory.
