Too hot to proceed

A Thai International Airlines plane bound for Kuala Lumpur made an emergency landing at Hat Yai airport yesterday.

Published on November 7, 2007

Wicha Noenlop, director of the airport, said none of the 287 passengers on board were injured when the plane landed at 10am. Flight TG415 left Suvarnabhumi Airport at 9am. He said the pilot sought an emergency landing because there was a problem with the air-conditioning system in the passenger cabin, causing a rise in the temperature.

Wicha said that the problem caused a five-hour delay.
