9.08am - Samak of PPP is the first to pick up the draw. His party got No 12.
8.58am - EC invites official witnesses to check equipment of the draw in front of the audience.
8.40am - In his opening speech, Election Commission chairman Apichart Sukhagganond ensured all parties and people that EC will organise the process and the election with transparency and respect to the laws.
8.45am - Registration for party-list candidate starts.
8.16am - Ruamchai Thai Chat Pattana party leader Gen Chetta Thanajaro arrives at the stadium.
8.01am - Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva says he has focused on the December election and will not worry on other parties' criticism on his party or its alliance. People will have the final say on the political future of his party and the country by exercising their votes in the December election.
He emphasizes that he is ready to be the next prime minister if his party wins the election. He declined to say whether his party will compete in forming the government if Democrat wins the second in the election.
7.37am - Samak tells reporters that he has a sleepless night as he could not finish the party-list list. He just finishes his party's party-list list about half an hour ago at the stadium.
He says he comes to the interview late because he could not find key to a toilet.
Samak said Banharn and Chat Thai Party will lose big opportunity for saying that they will not join hands with PPP after the election.
Responding to alliance between Democrat and Chat Thai, Samak say if people wants another coup d'etat, they should vote for those parties. He said the parties supported the September coup d'etat.
7.10am - Senior members of Chat Thai Party arrive at the stadium. The entourage comprises the party's leader Banharn Silapa-archa, Sanan Kachornparsart, Somsak Prissananantakul and Banharn's daughter Kanjana Silapa-archa.
The party's supporters who gather in front of the stadium early in the morning greet them with cheers and noisy welcome.
Banharn told reporters that his party is an alliance with Democrat Party and committed the alliance's position that it will not join hands with People Power Party of Samak Sundaravej in forming the government after the election.
5.50am - Samak Sundaravej, leader of People Power Party and his team arrives at the Thai-Japan Sports Stadium in Din Daeng. The party's supporters who gather there gave him a noisy welcome and with cheers.
