A new English-language hotel guide, "The Best Paradise in Thailand", has hit the bookstores, offering the Tourism Authority of Thailand's (TAT's) recommendations for places to lay your head.
The coffee-table book includes 70 stylish and luxury hotels and resorts across the country.
The TAT will be flogging the guide at travel fairs overseas.
"Besides its natural attractions, Thailand is becoming better known for its beautiful resorts and hotels," says TAT deputy governor Juthaporn Rerngronasa, who's in charge of international marketing.
"This guide will make our country even more tempting for travellers. It will help persuade foreigners to visit Thailand and encourage Thais to see more of the country."
"The Best Paradise in Thailand" is a timely fit in this era of booming weekend travel and chic-design "boutique" hospitality.
The featured hotels and resorts are divided among 10 categories, from Best Luxury and Best Small Luxury to Best Hip and Best Culture.
Urbanites and young executives, for example, will find the Best Hip hotels interesting for their unique and distinctive characters.
The guidebook's information is presented in "at-a-glance" format amid lots of pictures of the hotels.
It's now available at leading bookstores, including B2S and Asia Books.
