Broken into short segments, each titled after a specific neighbourhood, "Paris, Je t'aime" stars a host of actors, among them Natalie Portman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Fanny Ardant, Elijah Wood, Nick Nolte, Bob Hoskins, Juliette Binoche and Miranda Richardson - all of whom add deeper resonance to this love letter to one of the world's most transcendent cities.

The Disc: The DVD comes with French and Thai audio and English and Thai subtitles. There are no special features, so it has a bargain cover price of Bt300 and is selling for between Bt180 and Bt220.

Kyle XY

The Story: This new sci-fi series from the US hasn't made it to local or cable TV channels but gone directly to DVD. Aired initially on the ABC network, the 10 episodes of the first season tell the story of a teenage boy with extraordinary abilities who appears out of nowhere. Kyle is sent to a Juvenile Detention centre, where it is discovered he has no belly button. His psychologist takes him into her home and he soon is introduced to the world of teenagers, parties, video games and other activities. He has the ability to get through a two-hour IQ test in five minutes, with a perfect score to boot. Kyle soon becomes accustomed to life, but there is a mysterious stranger following his every move.

The Disc: The three-disc set comes with special features including an alternate pilot episode, an extended episode "Endgame" and "Kyle Declassified" in revised and extended versions. The audio languages are English, Spanish and Portuguese, while subtitle options include English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, Malay and Thai. The cover price is Bt999 and the DVD is selling for between Bt700 and Bt920.
