More than 100 people will gather from November 10-12 to explore ideas on how to strengthen their savings and community managed development funds, said the Codi's director Somsook Boonyabancha.
Codi, a public organisation under the jurisdiction of the Social Development and Human Security Ministry, has long been involved in supporting communities in many countries, mostly in neighbouring countries like Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. "The key to success is how to make the poor collectively accumulate capital and run it in their own way to serve their own proposes: purchasing houses, producing goods or creating businesses," Somsook said.
The meeting will act as a forum for sharing experiences and ideas to help develop the savings fund.
