Chuwit and Snoh in talk

Chat Thai Party deputy leader Chuwit Kamolvisit Thursday met with Pracharaj Party leader Snoh Thienthong amid speculation that he might be expelled from his party in the near future.

Chuwit went to Snoh's residence in Muangthong Thani for a lunch as other key members of Pracharaj joined the two figures.

Snoh said Chuwit only came to cheer him up to fight on amid difficult political situations. But if he wanted to join Pracharaj, he was welcome, Snoh said.

Chuwit said he visited Snoh to pay a respect to the senior politician. Snoh told him to adjust himself to political situations, particuarly not to scold on anyone, Chuwit said.

He only came to consult Snoh about political situations but could not say if he would join Snoh at Pracharaj, Chuwit said. Although he would not join Pracharaj, Snoh and he would still be allies, Chuwit said.

Chuwit's visit has followed a rumour that the board of his party Chat Thai would vote to expel him from the party.

Chuwit Kamolvisit on Saturday lashed out at his party leader Banharn Silapa-archa for despotism in allowing only his family members to make party decisions.

Chuwit also vowed not to contest the general election even if Banharn agreed to put his name at the top of the party list for candidates for proportionate voting in Bangkok.
