Gen Winai

Secretary general of the Council for National Security (CNS) and Defence Ministry permanent secretary, Winai said it is not a matter of the  CNS plotting to retain power.

His son Sakonthee was only a young man, so it was impossible for him to control the Democrat Party as alleged, he said.

"My son is 30 years old. He can make his own decisions," Winai said.
