SET closes almost 1% lower
Thai shares closed 0.91 per cent lower on Tuesday on profit-taking in energy stocks following the sharp gains.
The SET index started the day with a sharp fall and shortly reversed the gain to the day's high at 918.11 before weakening to end the market at 906.66, off intraday's trough at 904.55. Turnover was moderate at Bt29.25 billion.
Among the most active stocks. PTT Exploration and Production plc (PTTEP) lost 5.29 per cent at Bt161, PTT Plc (PTT) fell 2.73 per cent at Bt428, PTT Chemical Plc (PTTCH) was up 1.53 per cent at Bt133, Thai Oil Plc (TOP) slid 0.51 per cent at Bt97.50, and Kasikornbank (KBANK) was up 1.75 per cent at Bt87.
