Justice Ministry permanent secretary Charan Phakdithanakul, who heads a fact-finding committee into the allegation, said that after a complaint was filed against Wanlop accusing him of being involved in corruption and having an affair with his subordinate, Wanlop had been transferred to the PM's Office pending investigation.
He said the panel would take some time to gather the facts before reaching a decision on the case.
Wanlop has also admitted to the committee that there was corruption within the ministry but presented evidence indicating he had nothing to do with it, Charan said.
As for the alleged involvement with his subordinate, Wanlop submitted a divorce registration paper to show that he was no longer married, he added.
