RS I-Dream confirmed yesterday that "David Copperfield World of Wonder Live in Bangkok 2007" will not be staged in Bangkok as planned as the magician is facing a rape charge in the United States.

Copperfield will also cancel his show in other Asian cities, the organiser said.

All those who have bought tickets to the show can contact Thaiticketmajor for a refund.

Air traffic up

The International Air Transport Association released passenger and freight traffic forecasts projecting that in 2011 the air transport industry will handle 2.75 billion passengers (620 million more passengers than last year) and 36 million tonnes of international freight (7.5 million tonnes more than last year).

International passenger demand is expected to rise from 760 million passengers last year to 980 million in 2011 at an annual average growth rate of 5.1 per cent.
