Dining at the Benihana Japanese Steakhouse in Pattaya is a memorable experience: at every table diners can interact with chefs who cook meals right in front of them and are famous for their entertaining teppanyaki skills. During Halloween, the restaurant promises to give you a few frights along with a tempting set meal.

The tasty menu starts with pumpkin soup, followed by shrimp appetisers, Benihana salad and hibachi vegetables. The main course is scallops and lamb chops and there's green tea mousse for dessert. All meals are served with Japanese green tea.

The set meal costs Bt1,200 per person and is only available on October 31. Reservations can be made by calling (038) 412120, extension 1396.

Shangri-La Hotel's Salathip restaurant presents the Matua Wine Dinner tonight, pairing selected vintages of New Zealand's Matua Valley wines with a Thai set dinner prepared by guest chef ML Kwantip Devagula from the celebrated Benja Restaurant in Soho, London.

Kwantip comes from a family of chefs that have served in Thai palaces for several generations. His elaborate menu features char-grilled sirloin with holy basil, chilli and garlic sauce; garlic-peppered minced lamb wrapped in betel leaves; steamed New Zealand mussels with Thai herb dressing; and deep-fried frog legs with crispy lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves.
