The court said the party received subsidies from the Political Party Development Fund but failed to attach receipts for its expenses to its 2005 annual financial report to the Election Commission.
Led by Chamlong Srimuang, the party swept 32 of Bangkok's 35 Parliament seats in 1992. Chamlong invited Thaksin to join the party in 1994. Thaksin later replaced Chamlong as leader, but the party faded from the political scene after he left in 1996.
The court yesterday also dissolved the Rak Pan Din Thai and Thammatipatai parties for failing to report their annual party operations in 2005.
