Thai Airways International, the national carrier, ranked second in the "Best International Airlines" award category.
Ambassador Chaisiri Anaman, director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand's Stockholm office Manit Boonchim, and manager of Thai Airways International office in Copenhagen Preecha Nawongse accepted the awards on behalf of the Kingdom.
The awards presentation ceremony, attended by 500 Danish travel executives, was held on October 11 at the convention facility at Denmark's Copenhagen Airport.
The annual Danish Travel Awards are organised by Stand By Scandinavian, a leading travel publication read by Scandinavian travellers.
BlueFreeway buys 3 firms
BlueFreeway, an independent global digital marketing company, announced three acquisitions in Bangkok yesterday.
BlueFreeway has entered into agreements to acquire 100 per cent of Media Synergies, PlanetUTech and Reflexible - all leading digital marketing companies in the Southeast Asian market. The combined cost of the acquisitions was US$1.5 million (Bt52 million).
Bill Emden, group managing director, BlueFreeway Southeast Asia, said the three recent acquisitions had complimentary Web design development and complex application skills which position BlueFreeway to service the rapidly growing Thailand digital media industry with world-class efficiency.
The three companies are all profitable and are forecast to contribute more than $1 million in revenue to the BlueFreeway group. BlueFreeway said the purchasesfurther demonstrated its commitment to expanding in the Southeast Asian region to service local, regional and global customers.
Whitening campaign
Unilever Trading will spend Bt500 million to launch Pond's Flawless White for "visibly lighter skin and a reduction in dark spots and blemishes in seven days".
The product focuses on women aged 1835 years who are concerned about skincare.
The campaign will air TV commercials from Monday.
Whitening creams represent 48 per cent of the Bt6.4billion skincare market. Pond's is considered the market leader with a 29.7percent share of the whitening segment.
Sena banks on the Red Line Sena Development expects sales growth of 10 to 20 per cent for the year, due mainly to sales derived from its new property projects. These will be developed along the Red Line electric mass transit rail route, linking Rangsit to Bang Sue.
The company has developed five residential projects in the Rangsit area and has a plan to build two more townhouse projects in Lam Luk Ka, Pathum Thani.
