The Thai finally had fascia, the whitish coloured thin sheets of tissue between the skin and muscle of the meat, on the right wrist removed and will undergo rehabilitation which is expected to take up to 10 weeks. The injury has kept Paradorn, who won five times on the ATP tour, on the sidelines since March.
"By the end of the year the wound would be healed and I can resume practice. I need four weeks to work on my fitness and hopefully will be able to play again in February next year,'' said Paradorn whose ranking slipped to No 219 this week.
"The operation went well and luckily there was no fracture. I need to do the rehab every week at Samitivej Hospital here in Bangkok. I'm going back to LA next week to see the surgeon again,'' said Paradorn, who goes to gym for light training to keep himself fit.
The former world No 9 said he was not worried about his plummeting ranking as he could get special exemption in nine tournaments when he is ready to compete again.
Paradorn, however, said he plans to play in Challenger level tournaments to boost his confidence before fully rejoining the pro tour.
The former Thai No 1 is tied up with arrangements for his wedding with former Miss Universe Natalie Glebova, a Canadian national. He said he will start sending invitation cards at the end of this month while the ceremony is due at the Oriental Hotel on November 29.
