Former Thai Rak Thai MPs to run election under PPP

More than 20 former Bangkok MPs of the disbanded Thai Rak Thai Party would run for the next election under the shirt of the People Power Party (PPP), a deputy party spokesman said Friday.

Danuporn Punnakan said at least 22 former TRT Bangkok MPs would compete with other parties to win MP seats of the Metropolitan.

He said PPP would welcome eight new members into the party to compete in the Bangkok constituencies. They include Wichienchot Sukchotrat, former member of the National Counter Corruption Commission, Phittaya Pukkamal, former Thai ambassador, and Wikran Suphamongkol, a nephew of former foreign minister Kantathi Supamongkol.
