AEC moves to sue Thaksin
The Assets Examination Committee (AEC) yesterday filed a defamation lawsuit against deposed premier Thaksin Shinawatra, his family members and their lawyer Noppadon Pattama.

AEC lawyer Monthien Charoenphol said Noppadon had defamed the panel while speaking on behalf of Thaksin and his family members by claiming they intended to take legal action against them using false evidence.
The police accepted the complaint and would take some time to consider if the panel was defamed, Police Colonel Jaruwat Waisaya said.
