SET ends down 1.12%

Thai shares closed 1.12 per cent lower on Wednesday on profit-taking in energy stocks.

The SET index ended the market at 884.58, off 879.04. Turnover was moderate at Bt25.40 billion.

PTT Exploration and Production Plc (PTTCH) was down 4.7 per cent at Bt161, PTT Plc (PTT) was off 2.1 per cent at Bt378, PTT Chemical Plc (PTTCH) fell 1.5 per cent at Bt131, Thai Oil Plc (TOP) was flat at Bt91.50, and Thoresen Thai Agencies Plc (TTA) lost 3 per cent at Bt64.
