Cabinet OKs the Red Line

The Cabinet on Tuesday approved the construction budget for the Red Line subway route, which will require an investment of Bt59 billion.

The subway route is stretching 26 kilometres.

The Cabinet earlier approved the civil works investment budget for the Purple Line, worth Bt31.2 billion. The line will run from Bang Sue to Bang Yai.

The mega project investment is believed to be a major drive for the economy amid the absence of some private investment.
