
Parichat said the price increase follows the increase in raw materials. The costs of Milk and wheat flour in particular jumped between 10-20 per cent.
Offering upto 100 items, the bakery shop has raised the prices of some items in line with the increasing costs of raw materials the items require.
"We had tried to absorb the increase in production cost until we could no longer do it. So we decided to raise the prices," she said.
The increase came despite the sluggish economy which has hurt sales of bakery shops. Parichat noted that consumers have reduced their spending so far this year.
