Henin leads WTA rankings - Sharapova drops

Hamburg (dpa) - Maria Sharapova lost one place in the latest women's tennis rankings led by Justine Henin and issued on Monday by the WTA.



The Belgium Henin has 5,500 points to top the bill ahead of Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia (3,775) and Serb jelena Jankovic (3,475).

 Sharapova slid from fourth to fifth on 3,161 and could lose further ground over the next weeks. The Russian has cancelled her appearances at the upcoming events in Zurich and Linz due to shoulder injury, having won both tournaments last year.
