Wind shear causes plane crash

Transport Permanent Secretary Chaisawat Kittipornpaiboon said on Friday that the decoding result of One-Two-Go Flight OG029 black box revealed that the plane skidded off the runway due to bad weather conditions.

As chairman of the air crash investigation committee, Chaisawat said that the flight suffered from the wind shear and the captain could not land the flight as planned. The captain thus pulled up the plane, unsuccessfully, before the landing.

He said that the preliminary conclusion was reached after the return of the decoding result of the black box. The decision also took into account witnesses' accounts.

The committee would call for the meeting and reveal the official conclusion on the plane crash this afternoon.
