Venus to meet Tammy

Former world No 1 Venus Williams needed only seven minutes to wrap up her rain suspended first match against Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark 6-2 6-2 to set up a date with Tamarine Tanasugarn this evening.

Venus to meet Tammy

Former world No1 Venus Williams hits a return to Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki.

Williams was leading the teenage Danish 6-2 4-1 and 40-15 when drizzle halted play on Wednesday's night. The second seed was too powerful for the 17-year-old rising star.

Williams holds a 5-0 head-to-head record against Tamarine, which includes the two set win in the second round in Seoul two weeks ago.
