Crazy for chocolate

Leading US ice-cream maker Haagen-Dazs gives customers a feel-good treat by combining different chocolate flavours in three exciting new menus.

Chocolate Affair brings together chocolate, Belgian chocolate and cookies & cream and tops them with espresso coffee, fruits and sauce. Chocolate Lover is a combination of chocolate and Belgian chocolate ice cream served with brownie, whipped cream and chocolate fudge, while Chocolate Tease melds chocolate and strawberry ice cream with crispy waffle, whipped cream and, yes, more chocolate flavours.

The three new menus are available at all 18 outlets of Haagen-Dazs nationwide to eat in or take away through the end of November.

German delights

Enjoy Octoberfest at Novotel Bangna Bangkok from today through October 15 as the hotel's German chef Stefan Herberger prepares a sumptuous buffet of traditional German dishes at the Square restaurant.

Among the treats guests can sample are roasted pork knuckle served on braised red cabbage with apple, home-style bread dumplings, pretzels and laugen bread, liver sausages, assorted German cold cuts, smoked pork loin in sauerkraut, and apple strudel topped with vanilla or strawberry sauce.
