The women's 5,000m gold went to Burmese Phyu War Thet, who set a record of 17.16.34 minutes, while Thailand's Boonket Salon took the decathlon title with an aggregate of 6,540 points. Sompote Suwannarangsi anchored the RTA's quartet to the men's 4x100m relay gold.
